Wilson Lake History
Coon Dog Cemetery Established
The Coon Dog Cemetery was established on September 4, 1937. Key Underwood decided to bury his famous coon dog, Troop, where they had hunted together for years. Since then, more than 100 Coon Dogs have been laid to rest in the scenic "Freedom Hills." Unique headstones and epitaphs pay tribute to man's best friend.
